Nigerian Afrobeat superstar, Davido, is set to headline the UnitedMasters Grammy Weekend Concert, leading up to the 66th Academy Grammy Awards.
The event is scheduled to take place at the Hollywood Palladium on Friday, February 2nd, 2024, featuring Davido, Dominican rapper Tokischa, and South Africa-based DJ Artist Uncle Waffles.
Last year’s Grammy Weekend Concert drew in over 2,500 fans and saw the attendance of notable figures like Jay Z, Beyonce, Nas, DJ Khaled, Wiz Khalifa, Future, and Damson Idris.
Davido’s appearance at the concert comes on the heels of his Grammy nomination for his comeback album, “Timeless,” which has garnered over a billion streams. The album secured three Grammy nominations in categories such as Best Album of the Year, Song of the Year, and Best Global Music Album.
Despite being embroiled in a scandal with Tiwa Savage and her baby daddy, Tee Billz, who accused Davido of disrespecting his family, the Afrobeat singer remains focused on his career achievements. Tee Billz threatened to reveal more details about the ongoing rift after the Grammys, citing issues related to Davido’s daughter, Imade, and her mother, Sophia Momodu.
Tiwa Savage filed a petition against Davido, detailing alleged threats and insults after an Instagram story post with Sophia Momodu. Sophia also filed a cease and desist letter, accusing Davido of bullying and harassment on social media.
Amidst the personal issues, Davido’s headlining performance at the UnitedMasters Grammy Weekend Concert highlights his continued success and recognition in the music industry.
