Award-winning Nigerian singer Davido has caused a stir online due to his facial expression while meeting popular Yoruba actor Sanyeri.
The comic actor shared a video on Instagram of their encounter at an event, prompting a wave of reactions from fans.

In the comment section, while some praised Sanyeri for meeting the Afrobeat singer, many pointed out that Davido appeared less than impressed.

In October, Big Brother Naija All-Stars winner Ilebaye Odiniya stirred the internet after meeting Davido. She revealed on Twitter that she was too star-struck to make a video with him due to shyness. Actress Iyabo Ojo’s assistant, Hgold, also couldn’t hide her excitement, kneeling to greet and hug the singer.
Even legendary singer Charly Boy, known as Area Fada, was left star-struck after meeting Davido. Sharing selfies on Instagram, Charly Boy revealed that Davido had taken the pictures as his hands were shaking. Describing Davido as one of Nigeria’s pride, he affirmed his love for him.
Davido has undoubtedly come a long way in the industry. In May 2023, he celebrated 12 years since releasing his first single, “Back When,” featuring Naeto C. Thanking his creator for the journey so far, Davido declared himself God’s child.
