In his message, Davido taunted his haters, suggesting they could continue hating but would still follow his every move online.
The controversy began when Davido introduced himself as the “King of Nigeria” to a Saudi Arabian prince. This bold statement led to widespread criticism, with many online users comparing him to the controversial artist, Portable. The singer also drew fire for allegedly shading his aide, Israel DMW’s ex-wife, Sheila Courage. In a viral video, Davido praised Israel for living his best life and implied that Sheila might regret leaving him, sparking further outrage.
Netizens were not pleased, especially given the tumultuous history between Israel and his ex-wife. After their messy split, Israel publicly attacked Sheila online, even cursing her at one point. However, Sheila shocked everyone when she announced her engagement, and while many expected Israel to react, he stayed silent.
Adding fuel to the fire, Dammykrane resurfaced and took a shot at Davido. Posting an old video of Davido kneeling and begging, Dammykrane mockingly asked for forgiveness in a sarcastic jab at the singer. This move upset many, including Israel DMW, who blamed Dammykrane’s actions on Very Dark Man, the figure who had previously helped Dammykrane secure his release after he was arrested for defaming Davido.
