Nollywood actress Dayo Amusa has shared a touching moment with fans after her son, Olufire, took his first step.
Taking to her Instagram page, the proud mum posted a video capturing the moment and accompanied it with a personal message dedicated to her son. She reflected on his journey from birth to his first steps, describing each phase as special and deeply fulfilling.
According to Dayo, watching her son walk for the first time brought a sense of completeness she could hardly put into words. She added that if love could be seen, it would look exactly like her child, while also praying for him to walk confidently into his life’s purpose.
Olufire recently turned one, and the actress marked the occasion by sharing stylish photos of him, expressing gratitude for the privilege of becoming a mother. She also released a song titled Firewamiri, which she dedicated to her son.
In the days leading up to his birthday, Dayo shared photos of Olufire dressed in Igbo attire, proudly referring to him as Mazi Odogwu Fire.
Dayo welcomed her son in November last year and announced his arrival with joy, thanking God for the gift of motherhood. Since then, she has consistently shared updates on his growth and development.
Earlier this year, the actress celebrated Olufire at six and seven months, describing him as a blessing after a difficult season and sharing details about his first words and growing curiosity.
During her son’s naming ceremony, social media users noticed the absence of his father, with actor Damola Olatunji standing in his place. Responding to the comments at the time, Dayo dismissed the criticism, questioning whether those raising concerns had their own husbands present.
