Nollywood actress Debbie Shokoya is celebrating her husband today, August 19th, with an emotional birthday tribute that has warmed the hearts of fans.
Taking to her Instagram page, the actress shared a series of throwback photos of herself and her husband, praising him for being her biggest cheerleader and constant source of motivation.
In her moving message, Debbie highlighted how her husband claps for her loudly in a room, holds the ladder for her to climb higher, cheers her from a distance, encourages her to do better, and motivates her to keep striving for more.
She described him as the “husband of my youth and old age,” praying for more years of good health, blessings, and continuous success in his life.
Her message read in part:

The actress, who got married in 2023 in a private ceremony, has previously faced controversy over claims that her husband was already married allegations she strongly denied.
In a candid interview with fellow actress Bimpe Akintunde, Debbie revealed the betrayal she experienced from friends who spread rumours that her husband used jazz to marry her. She expressed gratitude that God removed such people from her life to save her from setbacks.
Despite challenges, Debbie continues to shower her husband with praise, often describing him as her greatest support system. Last year, she even joked about turning him into her content partner, telling him to “start wearing a skirt” so they could create fun videos together.
