Job Description

  • The Depot Inventory Officer at Dangote Cement Plc will oversee daily inventory operations within the Depot, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and optimal stock levels.

Responsibilities

  • Manage operational and administrative issues optimally, promptly, and professionally while mitigating foreseeable financial loss or risks.
  • Ensure an effective business synergy between depots and other internal customers (Sales, Transport, Plant, and Head Office Support Units).
  • Ensure all depots are adequately and appropriately stocked by effectively acting as an intermediary between daily SOP activities and the Sales team.
  • To prevent any incidence of out-of-stock while avoiding overstocking.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Oversee accurate inventory management, maintaining optimal stock levels to meet sales demands.
  • Coordinate with the sales, transport, and operational teams to ensure product availability and movement efficiency.
  • Prepare and submit daily and monthly inventory reports to management.
  • Implement and maintain effective record-keeping processes.
  • Ensure compliance with depot operational guidelines and safety standards.
  • Conduct regular assessments of stock and report any discrepancies.

Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • 2 – 4 years of experience in inventory management or related roles.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in computer applications including Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
