Atletico Madrid boss Diego Simeone has listed three managers he would like to replace him at the Metropolitano in the near future.
Speaking during a quickfire round of an interview with Cadena SER, Simeone was asked who he would choose as his successor at Atletico Madrid.
The Argentine simply mentioned the likes of Liverpool’s Jurgen Klopp, Chelsea’s Mauricio Pochettino, and Real Madrid’s Carlo Ancelotti.
“One of the best, Klopp, Ancelotti, Pochettino… They are the coaches that I would like to be at Atletico,” Simeone said.
Simeone also named the likes of Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo as the players he would love to coach.
He added,
“Which player would you have liked to have had? Messi, Ronaldo… the best, just like everyone else. I don’t think there’s much debate there.”
Simeone’s contract with Atletico Madrid will expire in 2027.
