The price of Automotive Gas Oil, or AGO (diesel), fell by 20.6% to N1,350 per litre in April, as the Dangote Refinery pushed the commodity into the domestic market.
Nigeria’s inflation and foreign exchange problems have driven the product’s price to around N1,700 per litre in most parts of the country, including Lagos and Abuja.
Usually, it was imported from the global market.
However, according to Vanguard, the price of diesel began to fall on Wednesday after it was revealed that Dangote Petroleum Refinery had set its pricing at N1,225/litre.
