DJ Cuppy and her family are in mourning following the passing of their cherished maternal grandmother, Mrs. Celicia Abosede Atta, known fondly as Grandma Kaduna.
The matriarch, who was 90 years old, was the mother of billionaire Femi Otedola’s wife and a revered figure in their lives.
In a touching tribute shared on her Instagram story, DJ Cuppy expressed her sorrow and admiration for her grandmother. “Grandma Kaduna, 1933 – 2024. May your soul rest in perfect peace,” Cuppy wrote. She described her grandmother as a formidable presence whose influence was instrumental in shaping her mother and, consequently, her own life.
Reflecting on the loss, Cuppy acknowledged the impact of Grandma Kaduna’s life and the enduring legacy she leaves behind. “I knew my Grandma was in heaven, looking down on us with love. What a life she lived, a force to reckon with!” Cuppy shared. She expressed gratitude for the guidance and comfort her grandmother’s spirit continues to provide during this period of change.
