Nigerian disc jockey, DJ Cuppy, has once again stirred conversations online after sharing an unusual email from her billionaire father, Femi Otedola.
Taking to her Instagram story, the entertainer posted a screenshot of the email in which her father addressed her warmly before making a surprising request.
The email read:
“Hello Daughter,
Hi Cups, how are you today?
I long for my meeting at the weekend.
Send 5 Bitcoin to my wallet.”
Captioning the post with “Happy Monday” and laughing emojis, Cuppy let her fans in on the playful exchange.
The post quickly went viral, with social media users flooding her comment section with jokes. While one user wrote, “BTC na skincare,” another added, “Rich people’s conversation hit different.” Others teased her to call her dad to confirm it wasn’t an AI message.
Just days ago, DJ Cuppy was gifted the keys to her father’s customised car, which bore the inscription “Personally built for Femi Otedola.” A month earlier, she had also narrated an encounter with a fake helper who attempted to reach her billionaire dad, teaching her an unforgettable lesson about trust.
Over the years, Cuppy has openly expressed gratitude for her privileged upbringing. She admitted that she didn’t fully realise her blessings while growing up, as she never had to worry about anything. Now older, she says she understands that what once felt normal to her is the very thing many people pray for.
