Media personality Do2dtun has shared his thoughts on the role of lawyers, indirectly referencing the ongoing custody battle between Davido and Sophia Momodu.
On his Instagram page, Do2dtun discussed the nature of a lawyer’s job, emphasizing that their primary goal is to win by any means necessary. He pointed out that while clients bear the consequences of legal battles, lawyers benefit by adding value to their practice, getting paid, and going home, often without applying the same advice in their personal lives.
Do2dtun described lawyers as the “Kanayo of all Kanayos,” referring to them as a “Necessary Evil.” He acknowledged that while many people dislike lawyers, they recognize their importance when in need. Despite his critical view, he gave a shout-out to competent lawyers, highlighting the need for not just good but competent legal professionals.
His statement read:
A lawyer’s job is to win by all means necessary, but na you go bear the brunt at the end. It’s your burden, not theirs. The win is not cos they care. It just adds value to their practice. They get paid, go home & might not apply the same advice they give you in their real lives.

Do2dtun’s comments come from personal experience, as he is currently involved in a custody battle with his ex-wife, whom he divorced after nearly nine years of marriage. The divorce was filed on grounds of forced abortion, domestic violence, and emotional abuse. Do2dtun has publicly accused his ex-wife and her family of denying him access to their daughters, providing videos and evidence to support his claims.
Although his ex-wife promised to grant him access to their children, Do2dtun revealed that she had secretly taken their daughters abroad for months without his knowledge. This revelation highlights the complexity and emotional toll of custody battles, making Do2dtun’s perspective on lawyers particularly poignant.
