Don Jazzy, one of Nigeria’s most successful music executives, continues to prove that there is “money in music.” According to a post by businessman Cubana Chief Priest on Instagram, Don Jazzy has added a rare $385,000 wristwatch to his collection, further solidifying his position as a big player in both the music industry and luxury lifestyle.
Cubana Chief Priest, who shared the news in a video showing Don Jazzy receiving the timepiece, proudly highlighted that the watch, which cost over 650 million Naira, was crafted by Whitestone Jewellers. “Money too dey music sha,” Cubana remarked, adding, “I will never be poor.”
Despite his extravagant spending, Don Jazzy’s wealth isn’t just limited to luxury items. His success as a music executive and founder of Mavins Record is evident, with hitmakers like Rema contributing to the label’s global dominance.
While many fans were in awe of the new acquisition, others shared mixed feelings about the display of wealth:
- One commenter, Anthony Lanston, joked, “Na una make Tinubu dey punish us.”
- Another, Krixteno, pointed out, “Rema dey hot na,” attributing Don Jazzy’s success to his star signee.
- Some, like All4vegas, expressed frustration, “Imagine someone can spend all this money on a watch when there are so many poor people.”
Beyond his opulent lifestyle, Don Jazzy is widely known for his generosity. The Mavins boss has made it a point to give back to those in need, particularly on social media. He recently gifted ₦500,000 to a university student struggling financially and another ₦250,000 to a fan in need of a camera.
In an even grander gesture, Don Jazzy distributed over 2 million naira to various fans on Twitter, helping those in need of school fees, housing, and financial aid.
