David Adeleke, nicknamed Davido, a well-known Nigerian artist, has revealed that legendary producer Don Jazzy came up with the idea for the title of his fourth studio album. The musician stated the Mavin boss gave the name “Timeless” to him via Instagram message at some point last year. He made this revelation while fielding questions concerning his most recent project.
He claimed that he nearly went with a different album title but ultimately decided to go with Don Jazzy’s suggestion of “Timeless.”
“Funny enough, Jazzy actually Dmed me a year ago and suggested that I named my album ‘Timeless’”, Davido said.
The 17-track album included features by DMW’s newest signees, Morravey and Logos Olori, as well as Grammy Award–winning Beninese vocalist Angelique Kidjo, British rapper Skepta, Asake, Fave, Cavemen, and Asake. Less is more, as they say, and more is more in this case. In an African record, it reached its highest point at number two on the US iTunes Music list.
