Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s (LP) presidential candidate in the 2023 general election, has advised the younger people to be resolute and never give up on Nigeria.
Obi posted on his official X Twitter on Sunday that he was speaking to young Nigerians at the Social Media Fest, or SMFest, event in Owerri.
SMFest is a platform that teaches its audience how to use technology, social media, and innovation to advance their businesses, brands, and causes. It does so by providing ideas, exposure, and insights that help people and businesses understand how to take full advantage of digitalization.
The former Anambra State Governor agreed that Nigeria was going through a difficult period, but he advised young people to be patient and resilient, emphasizing that success comes to those who persevere, even in difficult circumstances.
Obi wrote:
“Yes, Nigeria is challenging right now, but those of us who are older are finding strength in the passion of the younger generation.
“And we say don’t give up! Whether it’s in business, skills development, education, or politics, don’t give up!
“Life will throw obstacles your way, but stand firm. If you need to, step back, rethink your strategy, evolve, and come back stronger.”
