Nollywood actress Doris Ogala has stirred up a storm with her recent revelations about her alleged experiences with Pastor Chris Okafor, the founder of Mountain of Liberation and Miracle Ministries (MLMM).
In a series of Instagram posts, Doris shared details of her near-death experience and accusations against the clergyman. She claimed to have had an encounter with heaven after she “died” and was told by God that it wasn’t her time yet. Describing her vision, Doris recounted:
“I died, as you are seeing me here. I was dead physically. But I was in heaven, and he said to me, my child, ‘Go back is not yours yet.’
I saw myself in heaven. Very peaceful. All my burden was lifted. I didn’t want to come back. It was so cool and smooth. The feeling is out of this world. I waz a queen. I had servants and gold coins everywhere. Believe me, this is what I saw.”
In subsequent posts, Doris made explosive allegations against Pastor Chris Okafor, claiming they had an affair and even referencing a pregnancy. She wrote:
“Pastor Chris Okafor, we fucked everywhere. Chizoba, Obum, I will tell my story, the pregnancy. Am coming! Now, let the whole world hear the truth. I’ve suffered so much, your daughters. We wore the same clothes. Let me tell my story. Now, I’ve been given a second chance to live.”
Doris is not new to confrontations with clergymen. Last year, she called out Pastor Chris Okafor, accusing him of blackmail, threats, and financial misconduct. In her posts, she alleged that he had stolen her money and used his religious status to intimidate her.
Doris’s allegations come on the heels of similar controversies involving Nollywood actresses and religious leaders. In 2023, actress Halima Abubakar accused Apostle Johnson Suleman of Omega Fire Ministry of having an affair with her, proposing to her seven times, and using his influence against her.
The case escalated to court, where Apostle Suleman demanded ₦1 billion in damages for defamation. Halima, after facing suspension from the Actors Guild of Nigeria for her allegations, eventually issued a public apology, retracting her claims and seeking forgiveness from the clergyman.
Doris Ogala’s claims have sparked discussions about the intersection of religion, power, and celebrity culture in Nigeria. Her accusations, if true, could shed light on questionable practices within some religious circles. However, they also highlight the complexities and risks of making such claims in a deeply religious society.
