Job Description
Nationwide IT Services (NIS) is seeking a Drupal Developer to support all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) from requirements analysis, design, development, implementation, and maintenance.
Qualifications
- Solid understanding of HTML, JavaScript CSS and Drupal
- Minimum 3+ years of Drupal hands-on development experience
- Ability to both collaborate with team members and to work independently.
- Capable of handling a fast-paced work environment, deadlines, and new challenges
- Ability to troubleshoot and debug control as well as custom Drupal modules.
- Knowledge of PHP sufficient to build, troubleshoot, and debug Drupal modules.
- Knowledge of Drupal development best practices
- Strong knowledge of Organic Groups, SCALD, Features, Panels, and Views
- Skilled with basic UNIX command line tools, SSH, and especially Drush.
- Experience integrating open-source and third-party applications into existing systems, especially within a Drupal framework.
- Strong experience with Git and knowledge of GitFlow best practices.
- Build templates, stylesheets, and UI elements using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Proficient in Drupal, including custom module development, key contributed modules and core API.
- Proficient in the maintenance and administration of Drupal modules and sites.
- Experience integrating open-source and third-party applications into existing systems.
- Familiarity with source control systems such as Subversion, etc.
- Results-oriented, reliable, and able to work under pressure.
- BS in Computer Science or other related field (or combined with 3-5 yrs. relevant experience)
- Ability to communicate technical ideas to business users and other teams (design, QA)
