After nineteen years, the people of Anioma Isu autonomous community in the Onicha Local Government Area of Ebonyi State chose and coronated Mr Wisdom Chukwuma Okoye as their traditional ruler.
The celebration, held in the community playground, was attended by people from all walks of life, particularly chiefs, elders, Ozo title holders, and kingmakers.
King Wisdom Okoye’s election and coronation as the traditional monarch of Anioma Isu autonomous community stemmed from the Anioma community’s admiration for him.
During the occasion, various community stakeholders characterised King Okoye as a tried and trusted leader who is motivated by the well-being of his people and congratulated him on becoming the traditional ruler of the Anioma Isu autonomous community.
People complimented him for constantly taking care of the community’s people through his empowerment initiatives, bridge building, and internal road grading, among other life-changing programmes and projects.
In his remarks, the traditional ruler, Wisdom Okoye, who could not hide his joy at the honour bestowed upon him by the people, thanked them for considering him worthy to serve as their traditional ruler and promised to emulate the leadership style of the state governor, Francis Nwifuru, in carrying out his traditional leadership.
The monarch vowed to be fair and inclusive in leading the people of the Anioma Isu autonomous community and asked for the people’s participation so that he could pilot the community’s affairs with great fervour and devotion.
