eCommerce Project Manager
Note: Only candidates with extensive experience as Agile Project Managers will be considered for this position. This position is not for junior managers.
Job Description:
Cross Border Supermarkets team in Lagos, Nigeria, is seeking a dynamic and experienced eCommerce Project Manager to drive cutting-edge e-commerce projects for Pan African brands. As part of our team, you will lead complex projects, coordinate in international organization, and ensure the successful delivery of high-quality eCommerce solutions. If you have a deep understanding of project management principles, agile methodologies, and eCommerce platforms, we want you! Key Responsibilities:
– Lead and coordinate complex company projects, ensuring clear understanding across different stakeholders.
– Break down complex requirements into manageable tasks and manage dependencies between project components.
– Proactively identify and address potential roadblocks, adjusting project methodologies as needed to meet business requirements.
– Develop project plans that identify resource and budgetary needs and manage projects in a prioritized way that aligns with timelines and budgets.
– Provide feedback, advice, project updates, and encouragement to the organization and team members.
– Facilitate the completion of projects by coordinating the activities of the entire organization.
– Train and coach the organization on project management practices.
– Resolve complex project-related issues, disputes, and disagreements.
– Ensure projects adhere to frameworks and all documentation is maintained appropriately.
– Facilitate company priorities.
– Actively evaluate all operational procedures to ensure business functions in the most effective ways.
– Build and create processes on project management software to ensure clarity and efficiency.
Responsibilities
– Deliver multiple projects from concept to ongoing support.
– Lead a team of developers, architects, and designers using Agile methodologies.
– Own projects, liaise and collaborate with organization.
– Forecast timelines and resources to meet deadlines.
– Encourage the use of new and existing technologies in the eCommerce and digital space.
– Manage relationships to management and partner businesses.
Qualifications:
– 5+ years of project management experience in ecommerce or related businesses.
– Excellent English language skills.
– Experience in transforming teams to adopt an agile or lean mindset and apply the necessary methods.
– Proven ability to lead agile project development and manage cross-functional teams in fast-paced and complex environments.
– Deep experience working with project management tools (e.g. Asana, JIRA).
– Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
– Strong ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and maintain focus in a dynamic environment.
– Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
– Very strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
– Ability to work international.
– In-depth knowledge eCommerce technologies and CMS platforms (Magento/Adobe Commerce, BigCommerce, Shopify, etc.).
Desired Skills:
– Certifications in Agile and Scrum.
– Experience with JIRA, Asana, Adobe Commerce, AWS and Azure.
– Communication capabilities (e.g., English).
– Genuine interest in eCommerce and its challenges.
