Nollywood actress Eniola Badmus is under fire for her choice of attire at the 2025 Ojude Oba festival, a grand annual celebration held in Ijebu Ode, Ogun State, to honor the Awujale of Ijebuland, Oba Sikiru Kayode Adetona. Known for its vibrant cultural displays, the festival attracts prominent personalities from Nigeria and beyond.
The Ojude Oba festival is a cherished tradition celebrated two days after Eid-el-Kabir, featuring colorful parades, traditional regberegbe tributes, and a showcase of elaborate fashion. This year’s event saw the presence of stars like Wizkid, Lateef Adedimeji, and Eniola Badmus.
Eniola, an indigene of Ijebu, turned heads with her unconventional outfit: a black-and-white pleated skirt, a white Givenchy T-shirt, matching sneakers, a blue handbag, sunglasses, and a lace umbrella.
Despite her efforts to stand out, Eniola’s outfit drew widespread criticism on social media, with many deeming it inappropriate for the cultural festival. Comments ranged from playful mockery to outright disapproval:

Eniola’s presence at the festival follows her rising prominence in public service. In May 2024, she was appointed Special Assistant to the Speaker of the Federal Republic of Nigeria on Social Events and Public Hearing, a role she officially assumed in July.
The actress has been recognized for her efforts, including an appreciation award from Seyi Tinubu for her contributions to the Renewed Hope concert.
