Everton has been docked two points for another violation of the Premier League’s Profitability and Sustainability Rules (PSR).
Everton and Nottingham Forest were charged with violating PSR regulations again in January, this time for the 2022/23 season.
Forest received a four-point reduction and has appealed.
Prior to the points deduction, the team was 15th in the Premier League table, four points above of the bottom three.
They have now dropped below Brentford to 16th position with 27 points, two points and two places above 18th-placed Luton.
Everton was also punished 10 points in November for exceeding allowable losses by £19.5 million for the term ending with the 2021/22 season, which was lowered to six points after a successful appeal.
