The Osun State Government has reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring that every child in the state has access to high-quality education.
Sam-Oyus Foundation, a non-governmental organisation, distributes 5,000 writing supplies to students in Modakeke’s elementary schools.
State Commissioner for Education Dipo Eluwole urged private organisations and people to work with the state government in its efforts to raise the level of education in the state while addressing the audience at Saint Stephen Grammar in Modakeke.
He emphasised the importance of parents paying sufficient attention to their children’s wellbeing in order to ensure their success in school.
He was represented by the Zonal Education Inspector for the district, Mrs. Rachael Alalade.
According to him, the state governor, Ademola Adeleke is committed to ensuring that every kid in the state has access to high-quality, low-cost education so that no child falls behind in the sector’s development.
Samuel Oyedotun, the founder of the Sam-Oyus Foundation, stated after the distribution that the desire to promote quality education in the state drove him to participate in the exercise.
The distribution process, he says, is simply one component of the foundation’s mission of supporting education in the state.
He stated:
“Our long term objective is to have an incubation centre where every child would be train on Information Communications Technology with a view to making them more innovative in the future.”
