Yoruba Nollywood stars Femi Adebayo Salami, Mercy Aigbe, her husband Kazim Adeoti, and Dayo Amusa have offered their condolences to Fuji music legend King Wasiu Ayinde, also known as Kwam1, following the death of his mother, Alhaja Halima Anifowoshe.
The actors paid a condolence visit following the announcement of the death of Kwam1’s 105-year-old mother. Alhaja Halima Anifowoshe was laid to rest in accordance with Islamic customs on the same day.
In videos shared online, Femi Adebayo was seen in deep conversation with Kwam1, offering prayers for him. Mercy Aigbe and Kazim Adeoti also shared a moment with the late singer’s wife, Emmanuella Ropo, offering support during the difficult time. Dayo Amusa, who recently gave birth to her first child, brought her newborn along for the visit.
Earlier in the week, actress Faithia Williams also visited Kwam1’s home, where she was seen holding the hand of Emmanuella Ropo as they walked through the house together.
In a touching post, Emmanuella Ropo penned an emotional tribute to her late mother-in-law, describing her as a “jewel.” She praised the wisdom and love her mother-in-law shared throughout her life and expressed gratitude for the lessons she imparted. She also reflected on how her late mother-in-law’s legacy of love, warmth, and wisdom will continue to guide her.
The loss of his mother comes just a day after the passing of one of Kwam1’s wives, Alhaja Hafsat Anifowoshe. The 65-year-old wife passed away after a brief illness and was also buried immediately in accordance with Islamic traditions.
The passing of his mother and wife has been a tough blow for Kwam1, but the support from his colleagues and loved ones continues to provide him with comfort during this challenging time.
