The 10th and 11th batches of returnees make a total of 1,984 Nigerians that have arrived in the country from Egypt and Port Sudan in eight days since the airlift started.
Speaking on why the airlifting of stranded Nigerians in Port Sudan is slow, NiDCOM spokesperson AbdulRahman Balogun, on Wednesday, said;
“We were trying to mop up the remaining 1,200 as of last Sunday but more Nigerians are trooping in yearning to be evacuated”.
