Nollywood filmmaker Chinney Love has called out Access Bank on social media after claiming that N1 million has gone missing from her account.

In an Instagram post that has since been deleted, Chinney Love expressed her frustration, accusing the bank of failing to locate the funds for over two months.

“Dear Access Bank, is it until I come to the bank and cause a nuisance you people will find my money? 952,000 Naira equivalent in thin air and you people cannot find my money since two months now, same you guys that debited me. This economy is not friendly, kindly refund my money.”

The filmmaker described the situation as “broad daylight robbery” and called on Access Bank to explain the disappearance of her money, emphasizing how difficult the current economic climate is.

She further vented her frustration, demanding answers from the bank:

“Dear @myaccessbank give me feedback as to where my money is. How is it that you people don’t know where my money is two months later! What kind of theft is this?”

Chinney Love’s situation follows a pattern of similar complaints from celebrities in recent months. In June, BBNaija star Mercy Eke expressed shock after Heritage Bank shut down, revealing she had over one hundred million Naira in her account. Meanwhile, singer Candy Bleakz shared her distress over missing funds from her Wema Bank account, claiming everything she had worked hard for over the past eight years had vanished without explanation.

Earlier in May, actress Shan George also raised concerns after N3.6 million disappeared from her Zenith Bank account, allegedly transferred to an Opay account by a scammer. The actress appealed for assistance via an emotional Instagram video.

Even singer Peter Okoye of P-Square fame had previously spoken out about scams involving Nigerian banks, revealing how scammers had opened accounts in his name to defraud victims. He expressed disappointment in the lack of checks in Nigerian banks, questioning why such fraudulent activities were allowed to happen.

These incidents highlight the ongoing concerns over the security and reliability of Nigerian banks. With several high-profile figures falling victim to disappearing funds and scams, many are beginning to question the integrity of financial institutions in the country, especially when it comes to protecting the accounts of their customers.
