Job Description
Develop and implement financial strategies, plans, and budgets to support the organization’s goals and objectives.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement financial strategies, plans, and budgets to support the organization’s goals and objectives.
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, reports, and presentations for management and regulatory bodies.
- Monitor and control expenses to ensure they align with the approved budget.
- Optimize cash flow by effectively managing accounts receivable, accounts payable, and working capital.
- Stay updated on market trends, economic conditions, and regulatory changes that may impact the organization’s financial position.
- Provide financial analysis and insights to support strategic decision-making processes.
- Ensure or execute statutory and commercial accounting according to the legal requirements and IFRS guidelines.
- Develop and execute financial strategies aligned with organizational goals.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and reporting requirements.
- Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory changes to inform financial decisions.
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders, such as executives, investors, and suppliers.
- Conduct financial analysis and provide insights for strategic decision-making.
- Monitor and analyze key financial indicators, such as revenue, expenses, and cash flow, to identify potential risks or opportunities.
- Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure sufficient liquidity and optimize cash utilization.
- Evaluate and mitigate financial risks, including market fluctuations, interest rate risks, and credit risks.
- Oversee day-to-day financial operations, i.e. account payable and receivable, payroll, and transactions.
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, reports, and presentations for management
- Ensure up-to-date knowledge of (local) financial and fiscal laws, theories and developments, and financial contractual requirements
- Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance.
- Develop, plan, and implement innovative and cost-effective supply chain strategies.
- Identify and develop financing opportunities in line with department targets
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years experience working as a finance manager and developing financial reports and metrics
- Experience in preparing financial statements according to IRFRSIFRS
- Taxation experience, i.e. preparing annual tax returns
- Needs to be a certified Accountant (either ICAN, CIMA, or ACCA membership)
- Advanced proficiency with MS Excel, experience with datasets, VBA, PowerQuery, Power Pivot or PowerBI
