Job Description
Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
Responsibilities
Financial Reporting:
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations governing the hospitality industry.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Assist in the development of annual budgets and financial forecasts.
- Monitor budget performance and provide variance analysis reports.
Accounts Payable and Receivable:
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes.
- Process vendor invoices, track payments, and manage vendor relationships.
- Monitor customer accounts, issue invoices, and follow up on overdue payments.
Tax Compliance:
- Ensure timely and accurate filing of all relevant tax returns.
- Stay informed about changes in tax laws affecting the hospitality industry.
- Financial Analysis:
- Conduct financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.
- Provide insights into cost management and revenue enhancement opportunities.
Internal Controls:
- Establish and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Conduct regular internal audits to ensure compliance.
Financial Systems Management:
- Manage and maintain financial software and systems.
- Implement improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Inventory and Cost Control:
- Collaborate with operational teams to monitor inventory levels.
- Implement cost control measures to optimize profitability.
Month-End and Year-End Closures:
- Coordinate month-end and year-end financial closings.
- Ensure all financial transactions are accurately recorded.
Audit Support:
- Collaborate with external auditors during annual audits.
- Provide necessary documentation and explanations for audit inquiries.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Experience in the hospitality industry
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or relevant professional certification preferred.
- Proven experience as a Financial Accountant in the hospitality industry.
- Strong knowledge of hospitality industry financial practices and regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
