Job Description
The Financial Analyst will work with the co-founder to oversee the entire Financial, Partnerships, Investments, and Compliance Projects needed for Hash App to move from its formative early launch to the growth phase.
Responsibilities
- Prepare Hash App for Financial Due Diligence by Investors creating a Data Room working with Hash Legal Team
- Filter through potential Institutional Investors in the Investment space to narrow down Institutional VCs and Angels whom Hash App is supposed to liaise with in terms of potential in Hash App.
- Creating dynamic financial models working with the Cofounders that enhance our ability to understand the core business and financial metric of the Start-Up at any point in time.
- Preparation of financial documents for presentation to potential and current investors on specific investments- bank applications, information memoranda, and prospectus
- Provide updates on global activities to position our Start-Up value proposition in the local market in the US and other global markets.
- Liaising with Technical Partners, Brokerage Enablers, Custodians, Financial Analysts, Stockbrokers, and Key US SEC/FINRA Consultants and Regulators with a view to expanding listing access across various markets globally while also improving market perception.
- Conducting competitive market research on the industry and gathering market intelligence to enhance the growth capacity of Hash App while advising on the management of growth funds.
- Participating in the financial briefing provided by the investment managers and analysts internally and externally.
- Maintain up-to-date information on the latest economic trend in the space, the latest and any updates in the financial markets, and products other players are offering.
- Work independently with little or no supervision.
Qualification
- Must possess a bachelor’s degree in any numerate course.
- Minimum of 2:1 Grade and Top 5% of Graduating Class.
- Prior Internship experience in Finance in a Fintech Start-Up would be an added advantage.
- Candidates who have passed CFA Level I would be given higher consideration.
- Should possess an excellent ability to build financial models using excel
- Should possess an excellent ability to create PowerPoint presentations of pitches.
- Should possess business planning skills including financial modeling and budgeting.
- Should have a proven ability to achieve and surpass targets.
- Must demonstrate excellent skills in communication, negotiation, and presentation.
- Must have excellent interpersonal skills and should be conversant with Technology and the Start-Up world.
- Must be able to function effectively in a Start-Up environment that is fast-paced and structurally malleable.
- Candidates must be creative, and innovative, have the ability to hack already established systems, must not conform to the norm, and most importantly challenge the status quo.
- The candidate must have an entrepreneurial mindset of building a company from the ground up.
Location: Lagos State, Nigeria Hybrid.
