FINANCIAL REPRESENTATIVE-VACANCY AT SALT

Our client is seeking an experienced Finance Representative to join their team in Lagos. This is a key role for someone with a strong background in the full finance function, preferably from a similar manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure compliance with local and group accounting standards, tax regulations, and legal requirements.
• Manage monthly and quarterly financial reporting, ensuring alignment with group controlling guidelines.
• Oversee asset management and internal control enhancements.
• Work closely with the Regional Accounting Hub to ensure seamless financial operations.
• Manage cash flow forecasting, multi-currency transactions, and risk exposure to currency fluctuations.
• Lead annual external audits and conduct internal audits as needed.
• Build and maintain relationships with auditors, solicitors, bankers, and statutory organizations.
• Handle local invoicing and ensure tax compliance.
• Conduct cost-reduction reviews and provide financial insights for operational improvements.
• Oversee financial accounting, reporting systems, and support the Accounting Hub.
• Stay updated on changes in financial regulations, tax laws, and relevant legislation.
• Propose and implement continuous improvements to financial tools, systems, and processes.

Qualification

• Bachelor’s Degree.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or audit, ideally within a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
• Proficiency in SAP (or similar ERP systems) and MS Office.
• Strong experience handling the full finance function, including financial reporting and compliance.
• Familiarity with Nigerian financial regulations.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple responsibilities.
• Experience in a start-up environment is an advantage.
