Former Premier League player Pascal Chimbonda, known for his spells with Tottenham and Wigan, has stepped into the role of manager at Skelmersdale United, a ninth-tier English football club. Chimbonda’s appointment follows the departure of Matt Potter from the North West Counties League Premier Division side.
Chimbonda, who had a successful playing career in the top flight, expressed his excitement about his new venture into management, citing inspiration from legendary football managers like Pep Guardiola and Jose Mourinho.
