The Court of Appeal in Port Harcourt has dismissed two challenges filed by Local Government Chairmen loyal to the Minister of Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike.
The appeals, CA/PH/137M/2024 and CA/PH/145M/2024, were brought by Enyiada Cookey-Gam and six others.
They were disputing the High Court’s judgements about the extension of their term.
The Court, in its verdict on Monday, July 8 judged the appeals lacking merit and hence dismissed them.
