Nollywood actress and award-winning filmmaker, Funke Akindele, emotionally dedicated her latest movie, “A Tr!be Called Judah,” to her late mother, Dr Adebanjo Akindele, during the movie’s premiere.

The star-studded event, held on Sunday, December 10, attracted celebrities from various sectors of the entertainment industry.

In her heartfelt speech, Funke revealed that she wrote the script for the movie without anticipating her mother’s passing, which occurred in February. Describing the movie as passionate, she urged the audience to enjoy and share it, emphasizing the importance of unity among industry practitioners.

The premiere, themed “Costume Party Extravaganza,” showcased stunning looks from celebrities like Mercy Eke, Juliana Olayode, Faith Morey, Ali Baba, Alesh Sanni, Phyna, and others who embraced the theme with their stylish outfits.

“A Tr!be Called Judah” follows the story of a family planning a mall robbery with their mother’s assistance, only to face unexpected challenges upon arrival.

The film boasts a star-studded cast, including Jide Kene Achufusi, Timini Egbuson, Uzee Usman, Tobi Makinde, Olumide Oworu, Ebelle Okaro, Uzor Arukwe, Nse Ikpe Etim, Genoveva Umeh, Faithia Williams, Nosa Rex, Greg Ojefua, Ibrahim Yekini, Boma Akpore, Paschaline Alex, Etinosa Idemudia, Juliana Olayode, and Yvonne Jegede.
