Funsho Adeoti, the estranged wife of Kazim Adeoti, who is married to Nollywood actress Mercy Aigbe, has shared a powerful message about womanhood and strength.
In a heartfelt post on her Instagram, accompanied by a video from her 50th birthday celebration, Funsho emphasized that women do not need to adopt masculine traits to demonstrate strength. Instead, she encouraged women to simply be themselves.
Her message read:
You don’t have to play masculine to be a strong woman, just be yourself. Thanks, ladies.”
The post garnered support from her followers, who praised her resilience and strength. One user commented, “We are super proud of you sis,” while another wrote, “You deserve all the glitz and love you received on your birthday.”
This message comes amidst the backdrop of her high-profile separation from Kazim Adeoti. In 2022, Kazim and Mercy Aigbe made headlines when they confirmed their relationship, which drew significant public attention and backlash, as Kazim shares four children with Funsho Adeoti from their marriage.
Last year, Funsho reflected on the emotional weight of her situation, especially around what would have been her 20th wedding anniversary on February 15. While the couple is separated, they have not yet finalized a divorce. Funsho previously made public statements, including asking Kazim and Mercy to take down photos from a house she partly owns. Kazim, however, refuted her claims, asserting that he built the house independently and that Mercy contributed to its furnishings.
