Nollywood actress and filmmaker Genevieve Nnaji has responded to social media trolls who attempted to age-shame her.
A Twitter user remarked that she couldn’t cheat nature, implying that the actress was growing old.
You really cannot cheat nature. My fine wine is finally growing old,” the troll wrote.
In response, Genevieve delivered a witty yet profound clapback:
It gets worse, bro. I’ll get so old I’ll die. If I’m lucky.”
Another troll called her “Mummy” and pointed out that she was getting old. Genevieve subtly shut him down with:
Daddy, I don’t wish it on you.”
In 2022, reports surfaced alleging that Genevieve was hospitalized in Houston, Texas, following a mental breakdown. However, she quickly dismissed the rumors by sharing a video of herself painting—though many remained skeptical.
