JOB SUMMARY:

We seek to engage a leader who will work with the BI team to uncover brilliant insights from our data, drive a data informed decision-making culture across the business and support other business leaders across all our markets and functions to improve our products, customer experience and partner prosperity.

Responsibilities

• Hire, manage, coach and lead a high performing team BI team of BI analysts, Data engineers, and Data Scientists across Africa.
• Take Ownership of designing, developing, and maintaining performance metrics, reports, dashboards.
• Regularly engage with business unit heads and senior management to understand their data needs and recommend Reporting/Business intelligence solutions.
• Recognize and adopt best practices in reporting and analysis: data integrity, test design, analysis, validation, and documentation.
• Proactively develop new metrics and studies to drive better understanding of user and partner behavior and areas of improvements for our products.
• Standardize data and report consumption across all employee levels.
• Develop standardized internal and external reports to provide insights on customer behaviors, vehicles and the Automotive ecosystem in which Autochek operates.
• Drive a data literacy culture within the Autochek business. Job

COMPETENCY PROFILE:

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Advanced Proficiency in Power BI or similar visualization tools
• Advanced proficiency in SQL, ETL management, data modeling
• Project management experience
• Experience with statistical modeling and analyzing large datasets

Qualification

• B.Sc Degree or its equivalent in Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering or a related field.
• 5+ years experience leading a team of Data Engineers/ BI Analysts/Data Scientists
• 7+ years experience in BI, Data Engineering or Financial Analyst roles
• Experience working in a startup will be considered an advantage
