Job Description

This is a critical support role to various parts of the organization bringing financial analysis to the decision-making process. The successful candidate needs to be flexible and be able to also support accounting matters for the SureChill Nigeria entity.

 Responsibilities

Oversight of Accounting Function for SureChill Nigeria

  •  Supervised of the 3rd party accountants
  •   Responsibility for accurate and timely month end close.
  • Preparation of financial management reports

Group Management Reporting

  • Maintain proposer cost accounting structure
  • Develop and maintain a management reporting model
  • Monthly timely management report by division
  • Analysis of management accounts

Financial Group Budgeting/Forecasting

  •  Own the budget process preparing and updating 1 and 5 years financial models.
  • Understand and explain the deviation between actuals and forecast.
  • Monthly rolling cash flow forecast update.

Financial Analysis

  •  Analysis of different initiatives (ROI)
  • Track financial results of initiatives.
  • Support financial analysis for grant applications.
  • Margin analysis and contribution to initiatives to optimize unit economics.
  • Modelling of cost/ revenues for proposed future products and services.
  • Monitor unitary economics analysis and tool

Work Experience:

  • Some good basic accounting experience (ideally an experience in audit firm)
  • Minimum 5 years in a financial analysis role developing complicated models in Excel.
  • Have been exposed to work with various business stakeholders (supply, commercial, marketing)

Skills, Competencies & Experience

  • A master’s degree would be ideal. Having done the graduate program in a large company would be an added advantage.
  • Accounting Knowledge. The ideal candidate will have been exposed to accounting and understand financial close requirements.
  • Competent in financial modeling using Excel.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset
  • Flexible
  • Have been studying or working abroad at a bare minimum and been exposed to a multi-cultural working environment.
  • Good understanding of start-up dynamics.
  • Able to work under pressure with tight timelines.

Location: Lagos, Nigeria (Hybrid)
