Alexer Peres, who has been estranged from Nigerian singer Harrysong for some time, has recently hinted at officially ending their marriage.
In a heartfelt Instagram story, Alexer revealed that she had taken the bold step she had always wanted, calling herself a “free woman” and raising a toast to 2025. She posted an emoji of a champagne glass and declared, “Finally took the bold step have always wanted. Now a free woman. Cheers to 2025. We move. Bigger things ahead.”
The year 2024 has certainly been challenging for Alexer. Last year, her marriage to Harrysong faced turmoil, with the couple separating amid accusations from the singer. Harrysong had accused her of infidelity, alleging that she cheated during their marriage, even while she was pregnant with their child. He also dragged her mother into the feud, claiming that his ex-mother-in-law was on her seventh marriage, which he believed contributed to Alexer’s inability to manage their relationship. The drama continued when Harrysong accused actress Destiny Etiko of playing a role in their divorce.
Alexer didn’t hold back in her response. She threw jabs at Harrysong, even claiming that he still wets the bed, which led to a fiery exchange between the two. Harrysong responded by expressing his relief at being free from what he called an “Agent of Darkness.” In a playful but shady move, Alexer shared a video where she was asked to choose between returning to her ex or speaking Chinese, and she humorously chose the latter.
The drama didn’t end there. In October, Alexer publicly called out Harrysong’s rumored new girlfriend for stalking her Instagram page. In the post, Alexer reminded the new lady that Harrysong had failed to provide her with a kidney during her health struggles. She humorously added that she had left him for her, urging netizens to beg the new girlfriend to stop checking her page.
With this latest Instagram post, it seems that Alexer is ready to embrace her freedom, leaving the past behind and looking forward to what the future holds.
