Job Description
Manage and coordinate a caseload of learners in compliance with quality standards from enrolment to submission for End Point Assessment.
Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate a caseload of learners in compliance with quality standards from enrolment to submission for End Point Assessment.
- Deliver training for learners in which you have been deemed occupationally competent.
- Support learners in identifying opportunities to demonstrate competence, collect and produce valid and sufficient evidence for the award.
- Ensure fair assessment and equality of opportunity for learners within the assessment process in accordance with standards.
- Negotiate individual action & assessment plans with candidates and reviewing progress towards completion with candidates.
- Ensure authenticity of candidates’ evidence.
- Assess and provide constructive feedback to the learners on their progression and evidence over a period of time using a range of assessment methods and in accordance with Adult Education.
- Carry out candidate induction and initial assessment, ensuring the candidate is aware of their own responsibility in the assessment process (where applicable).
- Complete required Health and Safety checking of the candidate’s place of work where learning / assessment will take place.
- Develop and foster productive working relationships with Employer contacts.
- Liaise with Functional Skills tutors to support achievement of apprentice’s functional skills component.
- Deliver mock End Point Assessments for colleague’s caseloads within area of specialism.
- Produce and deliver teaching in workshops and clinics to support learners gain required knowledge, skills and behaviours
- Support the Co-ordinators in building curriculums, lesson plans, resources and training plans for learners
- Attend Standardisations and team meetings
- Ensure your Professional Development is kept up to date to remain a sector specialist and meet awarding body requirements Centre standards
- Maintain assessor records of candidates’ registration, progress and achievement and creating records of meeting with candidates.
- Maintain and follow procedures to ensure compliance with funding rules and Ofsted and awarding body quality requirements.
- Meet regularly with other assessors and Internal Verifier, and, where required, teaching staff and the External Verifier.
- Act as Internal Verifier where required to support and work with, a team of assessors to develop assessment procedures and facilitate good practices.
- Complete required gateway documentation for learners.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Public Health, Social Work, Nursing or any related healthcare profession
- Assessor qualification
- Minimum of Level 3 in Education and Teaching
