Job Description
- The Plant HR will oversee all human resources functions within the plant, including employee relations,performance management, attendanceand compliance with labor laws.
- This role is crucial in ensuring a positive and productive work environment while supporting the plant’s operational goals.
Responsibilities
- Act as a liaison between employees and management, addressing concerns and resolving conflicts.
- Facilitate employee engagement initiatives and maintain a positive work environment.
- Conduct investigations into employee complaints and implement corrective actions.
- Oversee the performance appraisal process, ensuring timely and effective evaluations.
- Provide guidance to managers on performance improvement plans and disciplinary actions.
- Implement training programs to support employee development and career growth.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records.
- Address employee inquiries related to benefits, attendance, leaves and payroll.
- Collaborate with safety officers to promote a safe working environment.
- Prepare and analyze HR metrics and reports to support decision-making.
- Monitor and evaluate HR initiatives for effectiveness and make recommendations for improvements. HUMAN RESOURCE OFFICER
Qualification
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Master’s degree or HR certification (e.g., SHRM-SCP, PHR) is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 4years of HR experience, onsite mining experience is a plus.
- Knowledge: In-depth understanding of HR practices, labor laws, and compliance requirements. Familiarity with HR software and tools.
Skills:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
