Job Description

In the role of a Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) at the Nigerian Economic Summit Group (NESG), your contribution will be crucial in synchronizing our HR strategy with the overarching goals of the organization, spanning across its diverse interventions and Centers.

Responsibilities

Consultancy and Strategy Implementation:

  • Provide strategic business partnership and coaching to management and leaders of the different interventions and Centres of the NESG.
  • Develop and implement HR strategies that support NESG strategic and business objectives.

Talent Management:

  • Guide and oversee talent acquisition, development, and retention.
  • Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues.

Performance Management:

  • Conduct regular meetings with respective business units and NESG Centres.
  • Analyze trends and metrics in partnership with the HR group to develop solutions, programs, and policies.

Organizational Development:

  • Provide HR policy guidance and interpretation to the different business units.
  • Develop contract terms for new hires, promotions, and transfers.

Training and Development:

  • Identify training needs for business units and individual executive coaching needs.
  • Participate in the evaluation and monitoring of training programs.

Employee Relations:

  • Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues.
  • Conduct effective, thorough, and objective investigations.

Compliance and Reporting:

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory concerns and reporting.
  • Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Provide guidance and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning, and succession planning.
  • Collaborate with other HR team members, sharing knowledge and best practices.

Qualification

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Proven experience as an HR business partner.
  • Excellent people management skills.
  • Analytical and goal-oriented.
  • Demonstrable experience with HR metrics.
  • Thorough knowledge of labour legislation.
  • Full understanding of all HR functions and best practices.
  • Master’s degree in HR or related field.
  • Relevant industry experience (minimum 5 years experience)
  • HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP).
