In response to the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation investigation, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission questioned 20 senior ministry directors and officials.
According to the report, it was learned that some of the officers were questioned by investigators on Thursday at the EFCC headquarters.
This latest step comes after the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission submitted a thorough investigation report and recommendations to the EFCC on Tuesday.
A source confided in newsmen, said on Thursday:
“The EFCC is also probing some officials in the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs. Some director-generals and civil servants; about 20 of them, are being interrogated. Some have been quizzed, and more are still coming for interrogation as the investigation continues.”
