Nollywood actress Uche Ogbodo has once again taken to social media to gush over her husband, Bobby Marris, making a bold declaration that has stirred up a wave of reactions.
In a recent Instagram post, Uche shared a video of Bobby and captioned it with heartfelt words:
My heavyweight hubby. I can kill for this man.”
This passionate expression of love quickly drew attention online, with fans and critics flooding her comment section. Some praised her loyalty, while others questioned her previous stance in the Yul Edochie and Judy Austin drama.
Late last year, Uche revealed that her husband had received death threats following her online spat involving May Edochie. At the time, she fiercely defended her family, warning trolls to keep her children’s names out of their mouths.
During her third pregnancy in 2023, Uche didn’t shy away from showing admiration for Bobby. She described him as a “mighty man in a young body” and celebrated the growth of their family with joy.
The couple had their traditional wedding in January 2023 in Uche’s hometown in Imo State. Following the ceremony, she proudly announced that she now goes by the name Mrs. Bobby Florentus Ugwoegbu. Even before their marriage, Uche often gushed about Bobby, calling him her blessing and the one who makes her heart sing.
However, her recent display of love came under fire from some Instagram users who reminded her of her past support for Judy Austin — the woman at the center of Yul Edochie’s controversial affair.
One critic wrote:
You will kill for him, but you supported Judy for taking another woman’s husband. You dish what you can’t take.”
To which Uche replied,
“Una don start again o! When I start, don’t run o.”
Another follower offered a subtle warning:
I hope you are praying against every strange woman in Judy’s form who will claim another woman’s husband as her soulmate.”
Uche fired back,
“Please don’t come here with that.”A third user reminded her of how unpredictable men can be:
Men will stain your white oo. Kill for him ke?”
Unfazed, Uche stood her ground,
“Yes, I said what I said.”
The backlash stems from Uche’s public support for Judy Austin during her affair with Yul Edochie, despite Judy being labeled a homewrecker. Uche had accused fellow actors of being fake for pretending not to know about Yul and Judy’s six-year relationship. She maintained that while she sympathized with May Edochie, she wouldn’t inherit enemies on her behalf.
Interestingly, during Uche’s pregnancy, Judy publicly prayed for a smooth and peaceful delivery for her, and later congratulated her upon the birth of her son — a gesture that added more complexity to the tangled web of celebrity alliances.
