Comedian and social commentator I Go Save has expressed displeasure over the EFCC’s frequent hotel raids, questioning the motive behind such operations.
Taking to his Instagram story, the comedian wondered why EFCC officials often raid hotels at night, asking if they were “looking for prostitutes.” He stated that while the agency focuses on young people and hotel guests, the real looters of Nigeria’s resources remain untouched in their homes.
He wrote:
“@officialefcc why una dey always go raid hotels for night? Abi una dey find ashawo?
The real big thieves looting the country are home. Go after them and let us applaud you.”
His post sparked reactions from Nigerians who shared similar sentiments.
One user, @regina_anthony, commented, “Obviously, they’re protecting these politicians; their homes are off limits.”
Another, @kelsing, wrote, “Dem dey fear politicians wey dey APC,” while @udabo.udi simply said, “Bitter truth.”
Some others called for reform, with @immoral.jaga writing, “Make them dissolve these people,” and @kodiezekwesili describing the agency as “an arméd robbery gang.”
This isn’t the first time I Go Save has voiced concerns about societal issues. A few months ago, he lamented the alarming rate of begging in Nigeria, noting that while the economy is tough, people need to calm down as “everyone is struggling.”
He has also criticized policies such as the ban on adult sites, questioned the rising hunger across the country, and shared his thoughts on the fading values in modern marriages, urging singles to “search their hearts before saying I do.”
