Ify Okoye, the wife of Psquare’s manager, Jude Okoye, has aligned herself with Nollywood actor Yul Edochie, who recently shared his thoughts on the ongoing Psquare family feud.
Yul Edochie took to social media to address fans urging the music duo Psquare to reunite, emphasizing that true peace sometimes comes from staying apart. He explained that distancing oneself from certain family members might be necessary to maintain peace, even if it means blocking them out of one’s life. Edochie stressed that trying to maintain closeness under strained circumstances can be harmful.
The actor acknowledged that while it’s heartwarming to see Psquare together, their happiness and well-being are more important. If staying apart ensures their peace and safety, then separation is the better choice.
Surprisingly, Ify Okoye publicly agreed with Yul Edochie, expressing her gratitude in the comment section by writing,
Thank you, Mr. Yul.”
It’s no secret that Psquare has faced internal conflicts, particularly over joint funds allegedly diverted by their elder brother, Jude Okoye. In a recent interview, Paul Okoye (Rudeboy) disclosed that their brother Peter had him and Jude arrested by a commission in December 2023. However, after a thorough investigation, Paul was cleared of all accusations.
Peter Okoye (Mr P) responded to Paul’s claims, stating that he only filed a petition with the commission against their elder brother Jude after discovering that funds were being secretly diverted into an account shared with Jude’s wife. He clarified that he never sought the arrest of his twin brother, Paul.
While Yul Edochie advocates for peace through distance, many other celebrities have voiced their hopes for reconciliation between the Okoye brothers. Media personality Do2dtun highlighted the complexity of family dynamics, urging fans to appreciate Psquare for their contributions to music rather than focusing on their personal challenges.
Talent manager Paulo Okoye and activist Very Dark Man have both expressed sadness over the split, with hopes that the brothers will one day reconcile, recognizing that they are united as one, not divided.
