Kelechi Iheanacho has returned to training for Leicester City ahead of Monday’s trip to Newcastle United.
Kelechi Iheanacho picked up an injury early last month, in the game away to Leeds at Elland Road, in a 1-1 draw, where he played eighty-two minutes before picking up a groin injury and was replaced by Dennis Praet.
“Kelechi was in training today and he’ll be in full training on Saturday morning,” the Manager told the media on Thursday.
Leicester are in a perilous position in the Premier League, currently sat in 19th place and two points adrift of safety, with just two games to play. After Newcastle away next week, West Ham United visit King Power Stadium the weekend after.
Having been on the bench for most of the season under former manager Brendan Rodgers, the Nigerian forward began to slowly find his feet under interim manager, Dean Smith, racking up goals in the games against Wolverhampton Wanderers, and his former side, Manchester City.
He will hope to be fit to play against Newcastle on Monday night.
