Nigerian rapper and actor Ikechukwu has declared his support for 2Baba as the singer continues to face public scrutiny over his relationship with Natasha Osawaru. In a post on Instagram, Ikechukwu wrote that everyone goes through heavy moments, whether publicly or privately, and that he stands with 2Baba through this phase.
Calling him his brother, he assured the music icon that the storm will eventually pass and that he would be there to celebrate with him.
This support comes shortly after 2Baba’s former staff member, Kaka, accused Natasha of controlling the singer and hindering his growth. During a Live interview, he alleged that 2Baba became more vocal about wanting progress while abroad, which caused tension between the couple. During the same Live session, 2Baba and Natasha got into an argument, leading the singer to abruptly exit.
Meanwhile, public figures have weighed in.
BBNaija star Leo DaSilva’s wife, Mariam, mocked the singer for leaving Annie only to enter a toxic relationship.
Daddy Freeze, who witnessed the tension on Live, said the exchange traumatised him and urged close friends to intervene.
2Baba’s mother publicly begged Natasha to release her son from the beads she allegedly placed on him, saying he was not in the right frame of mind.
His younger brother, Charles, accused Natasha of manipulating him and urged him to wake up for the sake of his children.
Comedian AY Makun and singer Cynthia Morgan also expressed concern, with Cynthia warning that 2Baba cannot be forced into monogamy overnight.
