Nollywood actress Ini Dima-Okojie has shared some heartbreaking news with her fans, revealing in an emotional video that she has been diagnosed with fibroids for the second time.
Ini Dima-Okojie recounted her first diagnosis in 2017, which led to invasive surgery in 2020 to remove the growths. Sharing this latest diagnosis hasn’t been easy for her, but she found strength in the support she received from other women who shared their stories after her first diagnosis.
Rather than undergoing another surgery, Ini Dima-Okojie plans to take a holistic approach to shrink the fibroid lumps. She also announced that she would sponsor twenty women to get scans for fibroids and start a podcast to discuss holistic management approaches. Her aim is to provide awareness and support to women suffering from this condition.
Ini Dima-Okojie shared that in 2017, she had no idea what fibroids were despite experiencing symptoms. It was only after confiding in her sister that she was guided to the right tests. Now, she hopes to educate and support others through her journey.
