Israel DMW, Davido’s logistics manager, has taken a stand against recent criticism directed at the music star. The backlash started when Nigerian YouTuber Korty EO expressed frustration on social media after Davido’s team reportedly went back on an agreement to re-edit an old interview, sparking wider discussions about perceived disrespect toward Davido.
Nasty Blaq, a popular skit maker, weighed in, expressing disappointment over the “constant disrespect” towards Davido, noting the singer’s consistent willingness to help others. Samklef, however, countered, stating that although Davido does help others, he allegedly does so with expectations and “a need to look good.” Samklef even compared Davido’s reputation to that of Olamide, arguing that Olamide’s quiet assistance hasn’t subjected him to similar treatment. He advised Davido to “stop playing the victim.”
In response, Israel DMW defended Davido, taking to a blog’s comment section to call Samklef and others “online noise makers,” suggesting they would remain silent in Davido’s presence.
This is not the first time Samklef has publicly clashed with Davido. In October 2023, Samklef accused Davido of leaking personal photos of his wife and twins, which he vehemently denied. Since then, Samklef has continued to voice criticism, going as far as comparing Davido to upcoming artists and suggesting he mend relationships within the industry.
In his recent comments, Samklef even referenced a past conflict between Davido and his uncle, Dele Momodu, attributing it to a financial dispute, and advised Davido to make amends with those he may have wronged.
As tensions continue, Davido’s team remains firm, with Israel DMW publicly standing by his boss and challenging critics who, he claims, would never confront Davido directly.
