Job Description
As Sales Manager, you are expected to Support Management in the development of the corporate strategy and tactical plans by providing strategic insights on own area.
Responsibilities
- Formulate, update and implement Sales policies and processes
- Develop appropriate Sales strategies to protect and enhance the company’s market share
- Provide strategic Sales leadership, in line with the overall corporate strategy
- Engage Management and the appropriate Board Committees to develop short, medium, and long-term Sales plans and projections for the organization
- Prepare and monitor the execution of the annual marketing plans and budgets
- Formulate and agree pricing strategies and work with the various strategic business units in executing their respective strategies
- Define and sets sale targets for the unit/team and monitor performance
- Monitor sales performance & deviations from budget
- Review all reports on business development activities and advice Management accordingly
- Establish key relationships with customers and agencies based on industry segment to ensure maximum exposure and increase in revenue
- Ensure all opportunities are taken to promote products/solutions to current and prospective customers
- Communicate customer requirements to the Business Operations Support team and work with them to ensure that products are delivered to customer requirements and in line with agreed terms
- Produce business case documents for new product or solution offerings
- Establish criteria for screening new business ideas and opportunities
- Develop growth and profitability on all our client’s solutions and products while coordinating all aspects of product availability
- Review legal documentation with prospective partners or customers to close a sale or develop new business
- Monitor competitor activity in terms of customer experience, pricing, their alliances, credibility and advice Management accordingly
- Benchmark company sales processes against industry and best in class standards to ensure competitive edge
- Develop and implement a companywide go-to-market plan, working with all departments to execute
- Oversee contract negotiation & payment terms with clients and channel partners review tenets of agreements and work with legal counsel to finalize and execute the contracts
- Ensure that agreements with clients/sales opportunities are executed
- Develop capability of subordinates towards the achievement of their own performance targets
- Maintain a positive work environment that facilitates collaboration and information sharing and is conducive to attracting, retaining, and motivating diverse talent

Qualifications
Education
- First degree in any discipline is required
- MBA or Masters in related discipline
- Membership of relevant professional body is desirable
Experience
- Minimum of 10-12 years relevant sales experience, 6 of which must have been in a Management position of a similar organization
- Huge network with decision makers in all Banking and financial sectors
- Record of achievements in the banking and financial sector- value of deals recorded and consummated.
- Good communication and presentation skills
- Ability to lead a team to drive organizational goals
