Actress and star of “The Real Housewives of Lagos,” Iyabo Ojo, has taken to her Instagram to once again address the ongoing controversy surrounding accusations of bullying.

This follows viewer reactions to her interactions with Faith Morey and Laura Ikeji, her colleagues on the show, who have publicly labeled her as a bully.

In a recent live video, Iyabo Ojo provided insight into her behaviour on the show, revealing that her on-screen actions were scripted and aimed at injecting drama into the series. She explained that after receiving feedback about her low ratings in the first season, she decided to enhance her performance in the second season by incorporating a touch of drama.

Despite having issued a previous open apology to cast members and anyone offended by her choices, Iyabo Ojo maintains that her actions were in line with the show’s demand for heightened drama. She urged Nigerians to recognize that drama is a crucial element in many international Real Housewives franchises.

However, her explanations haven’t quelled the criticism. Laura Ikeji, in particular, slammed Iyabo Ojo a week ago, reaffirming her stance on the bully label. Laura went on to retract any previous apologies she had extended to Iyabo Ojo, expressing a newfound lack of respect for her.

Adding to the controversy, Laura Ikeji criticized the show’s producers for introducing a gay man into the cast. She urged them to be more discerning in their selection, advocating for individuals who positively represent the LGBTQ community.
