Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo has decided to put an end to her ongoing feud with social media activist Very Dark Man.
In a heartfelt Instagram post, she announced her intention to cease further engagement in their online conflict, which has captured the attention of many.
In her post, Iyabo Ojo expressed gratitude for the support and advice she has received from her loved ones, acknowledging their role in boosting her confidence and resilience. She emphasized her commitment to speaking the truth and standing up for what she believes in, despite facing significant backlash and adversity.
Queen Mother: Unstoppable, Unshakable, Undefeatable! I’ll continue to lend my voice when necessary. No amount of lies, deceit, manipulation, gaslighting, or trolling even with a trillion trolls can silence me,” Iyabo Ojo wrote.
She continued,
To Obim, my wonderful children, families, friends, loved ones, colleagues, fans, well-wishers, and my management team, I’ve heard your advice and messages, which have boosted my confidence and resilience. I’m committed to speaking truth despite adversity. Thank you for your love and support, both private and public.”
Iyabo Ojo assured her followers that while she would heed the advice to avoid further negativity, she would not be silenced and would continue to lend her voice when necessary, particularly in her social activism efforts. “For now, it’s all about peace and love,” she concluded.
The feud between Iyabo Ojo and Very Dark Man had become increasingly messy, with both parties exchanging harsh words and accusations. At one point, Iyabo Ojo insulted Very Dark Man’s mother, criticizing her parenting. This was in response to Very Dark Man’s insinuations that Iyabo Ojo and her daughter Priscilla had engaged in inappropriate relationships for financial gain.
The conflict originated when Very Dark Man claimed that Iyabo Ojo had not been invited to the main ceremony of Davido’s wedding, suggesting she only attended the after-party like other influencers. This allegation sparked a series of exchanges between the two.
Despite the turmoil, Iyabo Ojo remains steadfast in her resolve to continue her advocacy work, drawing strength from the support of her loved ones. By declaring a ceasefire, she hopes to focus on peace and love while still speaking out on important issues when necessary.
